3-day Trek in Mount Toubkal

Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Azzaden Valley

We’ll pick you up at your accommodation in Marrakech and drive to Imlil. In this village in the Atlas Mountains, located at an altitude of 5,708 feet (1,740 meters), we’ll begin the trekking route through the interior of Morocco. The first stage of hiking will take about 6 hours and will lead us to the Azzaden Valley.

During this first day of hiking, we’ll see beautiful waterfalls such as those of Ighouliden and mountain ranges such as Tizi n-Mzik. After taking a break to have a picnic lunch, we’ll continue towards a lodge in Azib Tamsoult where we’ll have dinner and get some rest.

Day 2: Azzaden Valley – Mount Toubkal

Good morning! After you’ve had breakfast, we’ll set off on a new trekking route through the Toubkal National Park. We’ll see the Aguelzim mountain pass and take incredible pictures of the Atlas Mountains as we climb to a height of over 3,280 feet (1,000 meters).

After a picnic lunch in the middle of this stretch, we’ll start walking again and head to a mountain lodge located on the slopes of Mount Toubkal at an altitude of 10,521 feet (3,207 meters). We’ll have a filling dinner and then head to bed. Sleep tight!

Day 3: Mount Toubkal – Imlil – Marrakech

Rise and shine! We’ll have an early breakfast at the lodge and then set off on today’s hike, which will take us between 8 and 9 hours. At the end of the first leg, we’ll come to the summit of Mount Toubkal. At a 13,671-feet (4,167-meter) altitude, it’s the highest peak in Morocco and an exceptional viewpoint to admire the landscapes of the area! After reaching the summit and enjoying the views, we’ll descend back down to the lodge to rest.

From the lodge, we’ll start a hike to Imlil. In this village, we’ll take a minibus to return to your hotel or riad in Marrakech.

The trekking route includes 2 nights’ accommodation in the following mountain lodges:

• First night: Azib Tamsoult lodge.
• Second night: Toubkal Refuge.
