Description:
Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Mount Toubkal
We’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech at the time indicated, ready to embark on this amazing adventure. We’ll travel to Imlil by minibus and, once we’ve arrived, we’ll set off on a hike around Mount Toubkal. During this first day, we’ll walk for 5 to 6 hours in different stages. It’ll be well worth the effort when you see the views!
The route will allow us to admire the Haouz Plain, the Oued Rhirhaia Valley, and small villages such as Asni. We’ll also visit the sanctuary of Sidi Chamharouch, which is also known as the “Devil’s Sultan”.
After taking a break for a picnic lunch, we’ll walk to a mountain lodge where we’ll have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Mount Toubkal – Imlil
Good morning! We’ll have breakfast and start the second day of trekking towards the summit of Mount Toubkal. Did you know that it’s the highest peak in Morocco? When we get to the top, we’ll gaze out at incredible views of the High Atlas, the plains of Marrakech, and the Sahara.
Once we’ve got our energy back with a picnic lunch, we’ll return to Imlil to spend the night in a guesthouse where we’ll be served a delicious dinner.
Day 3: Imlil – Ouarzazate – Dadès Gorges
The third day of our adventure will be a bit more relaxed, as we’ll travel by minibus and admire the Atlas Mountains from another angle. In addition, we can also make a stop in Ouarzazate so you can visit the biggest film studios in the continent of Africa. Here, you can walk around the buildings and see the sets from films such as Ben-Hur and Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra.
Our day will be capped off with the Dadès Gorges. We’ll stop at our accommodation in this fantastic place to have dinner and get some rest for the night.
Day 4: Dadès Gorges – Todra Gorge – Merzouga
Rise and shine! After breakfast, we’ll visit the Todra Gorge. We’ll admire the numerous palm trees and Amazigh villages in this area and enjoy a delicious picnic before heading to Merzouga.
Have you ever dreamt of taking a camel ride at sunset? Now’s your chance! We’ll spend 1 hour 30 minutes traveling across the sand dunes until we come to a haima campsite in the Merzouga Desert. After having a traditional dinner here, we’ll gaze up at the desert’s starry night sky.
Day 5: Merzouga – Ait Benhaddou
Your day will begin with the unforgettable sight of the sunrise in the Merzouga Desert. After admiring the sunrise, we’ll go on another camel ride before leaving the campsite behind.
We’ll hop in a minibus that’ll take us to Ait Benhaddou, a fortified city which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. While we’re here, we’ll learn about some of the films that have been shot here, such as Jesus of Nazareth and Lawrence of Arabia. We’ll then get settled in our nearby accommodation, have dinner and get some shut-eye.
Day 6: Ait Benhaddou – Telouet Kasbah – Marrakech
The last day of the tour will be spent traveling through the Ounilla Valley to Telouet Kasbah. Although only ruins remain, this fortified city was once an essential stop for traders. We’ll learn about its history and have lunch before returning to Marrakech, where we expect to arrive around 6 pm.

The tour includes 5 nights’ accommodation in mountain lodges, guesthouses, and a haima camp in the Merzouga Desert.
We’ll provide all meals in the Atlas Mountains, while in the desert you’ll have breakfast and dinner included.
