Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Start your journey at 8 am as we depart from Marrakech towards Ouarzazate. Admire the breathtaking landscapes of the Atlas Mountains during the approximately 4-hour drive, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka pass towering over 2,000 meters high.

Pause midway at the iconic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featured in numerous films like Gladiator and The Kingdom of Heaven. Continue to Ouarzazate to marvel at the impressive Kasbah of Taourirt.

Venture along the Thousand Kasbahs Road towards Skoura, arriving at the Roses Valley just in time to witness the sunset. Spend the night in the Dades Valley or occasionally at Skoura.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga

Wake up to the stunning Dades Gorges and enjoy breakfast before exploring the valley. Traverse the spectacular Todra Gorges, marveling at the panoramic views.

Continue your journey to Merzouga, passing through the renowned Jorf Palm Grove, renowned for its delectable dates. Stop for lunch in Erfoud, known for its fossil fragments.

In Merzouga, swap vehicles for a camel ride into the desert to reach the campsite. Experience an authentic Moroccan dinner under the stars in Erg Chebbi, a truly unforgettable experience.

Day 3: Rissani – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Fez

Witness the sunrise over the desert before breakfast and a shower at the camp. Then, embark on a camel ride to start your day.

Travel to Fez via Tafilalet and Rissani, the ancient capital of the Alaouite sultans. Explore Azrou and Ifrane, stopping at the monkey forest to observe and feed the monkeys.

Arrive in Fez around 6 pm after an approximately 1-hour and 15-minute taxi ride with an English, Spanish, or French-speaking driver, depending on availability.

Accommodation:

• Stay overnight in Dades Valley for the first night.
• Spend the second night in a haima camp in Merzouga.
• Choose between standard and superior options, each offering unique amenities and accommodations.
• Standard camps offer communal tent bathrooms, while superior camps feature private bathrooms in each haima.
• Enjoy double, triple, or family rooms based on your preference.
